i just heard the sad news that a furry friend i photographed in february 2007 has passed away.
ali, aptly named after "the greatest fighter of our time", lived a fabulous 20 years. when i first met ali, a strikingly handsome abyssinian, he was 18 years old and frail from a recent illness. his family told me that after the afternoon we spent together he perked right up (i didn't have the heart to tell them that i had spoiled him with the "good treats") and went on to live a wonderful two more years. a fighter he was indeed.
float like a butterfly, sting like a bee, my friend.

ceelen sneak peek
i would like to introduce to you the boy that stole my heart today...ted "theodore" logan (funny he didn't say "whoa" as much as i thought he would...however he did repond to "excellent!").
ted was the winner of my recent dog model search. i admit, i have a soft spot for the shiba inus, since one of my dogs is a shiba mix, and with that fabulous name to boot he jumped right off the screen.
i definitely made a wonderful choice. he is one gorgeous guy...those bedroom eyes...that "ted"dy bear fur....those ears! we a had fun morning together (even in the bitter cold).
and it wasn't just me alone who fell for ted's charms...the tv crew and my animals were also quite smitten with him.
thank you so much kris for making the early morning trip from burlington and allowing me to photograph your awesome boy. i hope you enjoy the sneak peek.
a little bit of trivia...bill and ted's excellent adventure was released 20 years ago this year..."WHOA!" indeed.
party on dudes!

myers sneak peek
last week i had the pleasure to photograph not only a gorgeous 14 month old baby with her beautiful mom, but also her two furry guardians. little miss r was full of smiles and giggles as harry and teagan sat on either side of her highchair waiting patiently for those crumbs to drop at lunch time. we had fun playing the kitchen, rolling around on mom and dad's bed and even enjoyed a story together before nap time. it was a great day...and the roasted pecans were delicious!

bark and fitz display
the 'bark and fitz' store located in the beaches, toronto recently changed ownership. the lovely new owner is in the middle of rearranging and updating the space and has graciously asked me to put a display together for the wall behind the counter when the work is completed (which hopefully will be over the next month or two).
in the meantime, she has hung a few of my canvasses in various places around the store. if you're in the area, pop-in and take a look. 'bark and fitz' is a fabulous place to shop for your furry loved ones.
